Delilah's Room (F_V)

On some occasions, Delilah might be found in her room; with a proper lab once again, it's rather uncluttered, aside from books stacked on the bedside table, half-written notes accompanying. On the trunk at the end of the bed, there's a wicker basket filled with blankets and a well-chewed pillow where her badger kitten sleeps when not curled up with the scientist.

Date: 2013-02-24 06:03 am (UTC)Had she even found a room of her own?
Peter approached slowly where she was likely sleeping at a table down there, lightly resting a hand against her shoulder, "Delilah?"

Date: 2013-02-24 06:09 am (UTC)Like today. Peter's touch roused her, and she pushed her hair over her shoulder with a sleepy sound before reaching to readjust her goggles, looking up at the scientist. "Hmm? Something th'matter?" She murmured with a tired smile.

Date: 2013-02-24 06:15 am (UTC)Still, Peter actually smiled, stepping back and just to her side once she roused, "Nothing more than you sleeping in a chair, rather than a bed. How long have you been sleeping wherever?" Oh, looked to be his turn to fuss.

Date: 2013-03-14 05:23 am (UTC)He had noticed, however, that Delilah had been spending more and more time in the lab. This was why there would be a plate that held a sandwich cut into four squares on a nearby table.
"You may need a little natural light soon, you know."

Date: 2013-03-14 06:04 am (UTC)"I ate... oh I think a few hours after I woke?" She tilted her head consideringly, then nodded. "Yes that sounds about right."

Date: 2013-08-16 03:24 am (UTC)"Miss Delilah?" He knocked on the door (the concept of 'knocking' had taken a long time to sink in properly) and squinted against the doorframe, trying to see through the small gap between the door and the wall. "We made some tacos! Have you ever had tacos before? You should try one!"
(no subject)
Date: 2013-08-16 03:46 am (UTC)It wasn't like he could catch whatever illness she was suspecting was developing.
"I've never even heard of a taco." She replied in an amused tone, and The Jon would be able to see her settled at the desk for once, setting her pen aside. It was a good sign at least, to see her not taking another mid-afternoon nap at this point.
(no subject)
Date: 2013-08-16 04:03 am (UTC)"Nobody here's heard of tacos, it's weird. You'd think Mexico didn't exist." A brief, horrified pause. "... Maybe it doesn't!" Annnd just as quickly he was back to his baseline cheerfulness, horror instantly forgotten. "Anyway, a taco's like a piece of crunchy bread with meat and spices and salsa and stuff squished in the middle. They're pretty much the tastiest things ever." And yes, there was a makeshift taco on the plate he was holding out, cobbled together from whatever the Walter Girls had been able to find in the kitchen. Since The Jon had no part in making it, it was probably edible.

Date: 2013-08-28 01:52 am (UTC)"Miss Delilah!" There was an insistent knock at the door today, a quick shave-and-a-haircut rhythm that would be repeated until he was let in. "I brought you tea, this time. And cookies, 'cause there were some downstairs." Everybody liked cookies, right?
(no subject)
Date: 2013-08-28 02:31 am (UTC)When he knocked at the door? It took quite awhile before the chemist finally opened it part way, offering The Jon a faint, wan smile.
"I'm sorry sweetie... not feeling very hungry right now." She apologized. The room behind her was dark, and she herself was pale, and from the sheen over her skin, the slight glassiness to her eyes, she was most certainly not well.
(no subject)
Date: 2013-08-28 02:59 am (UTC)"... Sorry, did I wake you up? I..." His mouth clicked shut in the middle of the sentence and The Jon's eyes narrowed, then began searching Delilah's face. The bright blue glow of his optics dimly lit the room behind her, and made her look even more sickly in the shadows.
"... It got worse again..." The words came out in a stunned mumble, half spoken to himself. "You... Miss Delilah, you really don't look so good..."

Date: 2014-04-03 02:15 am (UTC)GG knew that beggars really couldn't be choosers, but her choices were still pretty limited. She didn't particularly feel like bunking with the other bots in their rooms, especially since they were kind of crowded thanks to having multiple copies of the same bot share said rooms (with the exception of Rabbit and her ladyfriend Alice, but still, that's two bodies in one room). Staying with the Walter Girls would be nice, but again, it seemed fairly crowded in there. Peter Six was too reclusive for her taste, and Peter I, well... she hadn't really spoken much with him, and she kind of preferred to keep it that way. That left one candidate for roommate-ship, and that was with Delilah, someone GG was genuinely happy to share a room with. After all, she had seemed pretty nice when they first met!
So with a little bit of shuffling around, GG found herself settling into her new shared room with this new lady scientist. She didn't really have a bed yet, but she had no problem curling up on one of those comfy chairs by the window. She was seated in one right now, looking around at the decor while a small puff of steam wafted from her.
"You got a nice room here, Miss Delilah. You really picked one of the good ones!"
(no subject)
Date: 2014-04-03 02:22 am (UTC)"No miss required here GG, just Delilah is fine. And I was just lucky that the room was open, I was one of the last to pick." For reasons she'd not be talking about because horrific. No need to spoil a good day.
"Luckily it seems Tassel doesn't mind you either." Giving the badgercat in it's comfy blanket filled basket a scratch behind the ears. "And we'll find you something to sleep on soon enough I'm sure."
(no subject)
Date: 2014-04-03 02:47 am (UTC)"You sure lucked out! I bet the others are wishing they got a room this nice." She hadn't seen everyone else's rooms yet, but she's sure they're inferior because they're not her room.
"Sure! That way we can have a proper sleepover party!" Cause that's how sleepovers worked, right? "But I don't mind sleeping here for now." It was a pretty comfy chair, that's for sure, but having a proper place to sleep would probably do good later.
GG blinks at Delilah as she scratches the... what even was that? Well, whatever it is, she's giving it a scratch behind the ears. "What's that supposed to be??" It kind of looked like a cat. Was it a cat?
...did it taste like a cat?

Date: 2015-02-09 12:47 am (UTC)[But it was all in good fun, for the most part. Grudges forgotten the next day, irritations brushed aside easily.]
[This time, though, GG wasn't so sure that was the case. She'd angered The Spine... really angered him. Like, scary levels of anger. And she didn't know what to do because of it.]
[She didn't come down to dinner that night, though after supper she'd come up to hers and Delilah's shared room, seeking the other scientist out. She needed help and didn't feel like talking to the other robots.]
